Current conventional medical thinking offers very little to people with ME. There is no universally accepted diagnosis for ME and even the name is contentious, some people preferring Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). The NHS tend to only offer graded excersise and cognitive therapy. A lot of general practitioners will treat ME as depression.
