Action for ME is the UK based national membership organisation and registered charitable trust (Registered number 2906840). It is supported by its members (people with ME), by supporters (generally well people) and by donations from individuals, local ME support groups (including Chester MESH), businesses and trusts.

The Aims of Action for ME

To campaign for more recognition, research and better care and benefits for people with ME.

To fund research, particularly into treatments for ME

To raise awareness of ME within the government, media, health care organisations and general public

To provide information, self-help and support services to people with ME, their carers, family and friends.

Action for ME have an excellent and wide ranging list of publications available as well as producing 'Interaction' - a magazine that will keep you up to date with the latest thinking on ME and its treatments.
